Program description
It is widely acknowledged that PPIs are highly effective and have transformed the management of GERD; but for some patients current treatment isn’t enough and they experience continuing reflux symptoms.
This symposium provides a valuable opportunity to improve the management of these poorly responsive patients. Starting with the identification of the underlying causes of partial response to current PPIs, we will move on to address the diagnostic challenges presented by these patients – how to get the best from current tests and what’s at the cutting edge of new technology.
Then we will fast forward to consider new opportunities for optimizing acid suppression and how this translates to improving the management of GERD in real-world populations.
Target audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of gastroenterologists, nurses,
pharmacists, and other healthcare providers involved in the care of patients with esophageal disorders.
