After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:
- State the ASCO/CAP Guidelines for HER2 testing
- Review the criteria laboratories reporting HER2 results should adhere to
- Explain why samples may have intermediate HER2 status by IHC or FISH and the recommendations for further testing
- Describe appropriate treatment interventions for breast cancer according to HER2 status, including those with intermediate findings on pathology.
